What does office network cabling cost per drop in Indianapolis?
Price per drop depends on run length, ceiling access, cable category and how many drops are in the order. A short Cat6 run above an accessible grid ceiling is straightforward. Hard lid ceilings, conduit, core drilling and long runs push it up, and Cat6A costs more than Cat6. We quote a firm number per drop after walking the space.
Should we run Cat6 or Cat6A?
Cat6 handles most office workloads today, and Cat6A gives you headroom for 10 gigabit runs and higher power PoE devices. The deciding factors are run length, what your access points and cameras need, and how long you plan to stay in the space. In a long term lease the labor is the expensive part, so the better cable is usually worth it.
Can you cable our new office before we move in?
That is the easiest version of the job. We prefer to pull cable while the space is still under construction, before ceilings close and furniture lands, then terminate and test ahead of your move date. If you are already in the space, we work evenings and weekends around your staff. Either way we coordinate with your IT vendor on the cutover.
Do you provide test results and labeling?
Yes, on every job. Each drop is labeled at the jack and at the patch panel with matching numbers, then tested and certified with results saved per port. You get the test report and an as built map at closeout. That documentation is what makes the next move, the next hire and the next troubleshooting call fast instead of painful.
Can you clean up a wiring closet another vendor left behind?
Yes, and it is a common request. We document what is live before touching anything, then re-dress the runs, replace failed jacks and patch cords, label both ends to a single scheme, and add rack management so the closet can actually be worked on. Anything that fails testing gets re-terminated or repulled. You get certified test results and a port map when it is done.
