Our lighting division covers the full scope, from a photometric layout and fixture selection through installation, controls programming and long term maintenance.
LED Retrofits and Upgrades
We replace fluorescent, metal halide and high pressure sodium fixtures with LED across warehouses, offices and shops, working around your production schedule so the floor keeps running.
Photometric Layouts
Before anything is ordered we model the space and lay out fixtures to hit the foot candle levels your work actually needs, room by room.
High Bay and Low Bay
High bay and low bay fixtures sized for ceiling height, rack layout and dust conditions, so warehouse aisles and plant floors are evenly lit.
Exterior and Parking Lot
Pole lights, wall packs, canopy and building mounted fixtures for parking lots, loading docks and entrances, including pole bases, trenching and photocell control.
Lighting Controls and Sensors
Occupancy sensors, daylight harvesting, timeclocks and networked control panels, set up and programmed so lights run on your schedule instead of all night.
Emergency and Exit Lighting
Exit signs, emergency egress fixtures and battery backup units installed and tested so your building meets code at the next fire marshal walkthrough.

Lighting is the division this company was built on. We do the photometric layout, supply the fixtures, install them and handle the rebate paperwork, under one contract.
Photometric design
Precise layouts for optimal results.
Premium fixtures
Commercial grade products that perform.
Expert installation
One contract. Total accountability.

Commercial Only
Commercial work is all we do, so our crews, lifts and truck stock are set up for facilities, not small jobs.

One Lighting Division
Design, install and service sit under one roof, so nobody hands your project off to another contractor mid job.

Indianapolis Owned
We are Indianapolis owned and operated, licensed and insured, and we work under local inspection on commercial buildings here.

Work Around Operations
Nights, weekends and phased shutdowns are normal for us, so lighting work does not stop production or close your doors.

We Handle the Rebate
We manage the utility rebate application on your behalf, so the incentive is not left on the table.

Work Around Your Operation
Nights, weekends, plant shutdowns and school breaks. We set the outage windows with you first.
From sports facilities and warehouses to aquatic centers and retail floors, these are buildings we have already relit across central Indiana.
Cost comes down to fixture count, fixture type and how hard the space is to reach. A warehouse with 30 foot ceilings needs lifts and more labor than an open office on a drop ceiling. Controls, new circuits and pole bases add to it. We walk the building, count fixtures and give you a written quote before anything is ordered.
No. Most commercial LED lighting in Indianapolis gets installed section by section while the building stays open. We work aisle by aisle in a warehouse, floor by floor in an office, and move to nights or weekends when the space cannot be interrupted. You keep operating, and the lights come on brighter at the end of each shift.
Often, yes. Indiana utilities run prescriptive and custom incentive programs for commercial lighting upgrades, and the fixtures you pick decide whether the project qualifies. We spec qualifying products where we can and put together the fixture counts, wattages and controls documentation the program asks for, so the paperwork is not something you have to chase down yourself.
Ask who is actually doing the work. Some companies sell fixtures and subcontract the install, which is where schedules slip. LED Indy is a licensed and insured commercial lighting contractor in Indianapolis with its own lighting division, so the crew on your roof or in your lift works for us. Ask for a photometric layout, a fixture list and a written schedule before you sign.
We do, and it is part of the retrofit scope. Old fluorescent lamps contain mercury and older ballasts can contain PCBs, so they do not belong in your dumpster. We take the fixtures down, keep the lamps intact, palletize the material and send it to a recycler, then leave the space swept. If you want some fixtures kept for spares, tell us before we start.
Can't say enough good things about John and his LED Indy team. They take the time to educate their clients on the process and value of switching to LED fixtures. They are professional, honest and do great work! Highly recommend them!
Jon and the team at LED Indy were absolutely amazing! They handled every step of my industrial shop conversion quickly and professionally. It's also great to know I'm saving money on my energy bill too! I highly recommend them!
We have several manufacturing facilities that have a combination of manufacturing floor, warehouse, and office space, and LED Indy has been a great partner to help us plan and implement changes when needed. I'd highly recommend their team.
The transformation of the lighting upgrade was literally night and day. The result was better than we could have expected.
