What is structured cabling and does my building need it?
Structured cabling is a single, documented cabling system that carries your data, phones, WiFi, cameras and access control instead of a pile of unplanned runs. If your closet is a bird nest of unlabeled cable, or you are adding devices faster than you can trace them, a structured system pays for itself the first time something breaks and a tech has to find the right port.
How much does data cabling cost in Indianapolis?
Cost is driven by the number of drops, the cable type, the pathway and how much of the building is occupied. A 20 drop office fit out in open ceiling is a very different job from running Cat6A through a live warehouse at 30 feet. We walk the space, count the drops, price the pathway and give you a fixed number before anyone pulls cable.
Can you run cable while our building stays open?
Yes, and most of our cabling work happens in occupied buildings. We stage material off hours, work in zones so only part of the floor is disrupted at a time, protect finished ceilings and floors, and clean up each night. For hospitals, plants and distribution centers we schedule around shifts, and we can work nights and weekends when the floor cannot stop.
Do you install fiber between buildings on the same property?
Yes. Outside plant fiber between buildings on a campus or industrial property is standard work for us, whether it goes underground in conduit or aerial. We handle the trenching coordination, the conduit, the fusion splicing and the terminations at both ends, then test every strand and hand you the results with the as built drawings.
Will you come back for moves, adds and changes after the install?
Yes. Follow up work in buildings we have already cabled is normal for us. Departments move, a conference room becomes 3 offices, a camera gets added at a new door.
