What DC Fast Charger Installation in Indianapolis Involves

Depot charging is an electrical infrastructure project first and a charger purchase second, so we start at the transformer and work outward.

Why Fleet Operators Pick LED Indy for Depot Charging

A depot is judged on whether every vehicle leaves full in the morning. We build the charging around the duty cycle and the dwell window, then size the service, the yard infrastructure and the load management to match.

Certified Installers

EVITP certified, ChargePoint Certified and NABCEP certified, so the crew on your yard is trained on the hardware and the code.

Infrastructure First

We size the service, the transformer and the trenching before hardware is ordered, so nothing gets installed that the site cannot feed.

One Contractor

Electrical, data and lighting divisions in house, so the yard lighting, the cameras and the chargers land on one schedule.

Local Service

Indianapolis owned and operated, so when a dispenser goes down before the morning dispatch, a local truck responds.

Written Scope, Written Number

We walk the building before we quote, then put the fleet ev charging scope in writing line for line, so you can compare our number against anyone else's on the same work.

Proven on Commercial Projects

Our completed work includes the Colts Practice Facility, Langham Logistics, NIFS and the Vigo County jail. The same crews handle fleet ev charging for buildings across Indianapolis.

Fleet EV Charging Questions From Indianapolis Operators

How much does DC fast charger installation cost in Indianapolis?

The chargers are rarely the biggest line item. Cost is driven by how far the yard is from the electrical service, whether the utility has to set a new transformer, how much trenching or boring the run needs, and the power level you choose. A Level 2 depot bank and a DC fast charging island are very different projects. We price both after a site walk.

Do we need DC fast charging or is Level 2 enough?

It comes down to dwell time. If your vehicles sit in the yard all night, Level 2 charging is cheaper to install and easier on the service, and it will fill the batteries by morning. If vehicles turn in the middle of a shift, or the yard has more trucks than parking hours, DC fast charging earns its cost. Most depots end up with a mix.

How long does a fleet charging project take in Indianapolis?

The utility and the permit set the schedule more than the electrical work does. Service applications, transformer availability and charger lead times run in parallel with design and permitting, and trenching depends on weather and yard access. We give you a phased plan, and where it helps we energize a first bank of chargers while the larger service work finishes.

Can you keep the yard running during construction?

Yes. Depot work gets phased around dispatch, so trenching and pad pours happen in sections and the lanes your drivers need stay open. We stage conduit and pull wire during off hours, keep temporary lighting and traffic control in place, and schedule any power shutdown for a window you pick. Nothing gets cut over without a plan you signed off on.

Can we build the depot in phases as the fleet converts?

Yes, and that is usually the smarter way to spend. The make ready work, service capacity, conduit, pads and stub ups, is the part that is expensive to redo later, so we size it for the fleet you expect and build it once. Chargers then get added a bank at a time as vehicles arrive, which spreads the cost across budget years without tearing the yard up twice.
