Low voltage solutions

Wireless Access Point Installation in Indianapolis, End to End

Good business WiFi is a cabling and placement problem before it is a hardware problem, so that is where we start.

Predictive Site Survey

We walk the building, note construction, racking and interference sources, and produce an access point layout before anything gets ordered.

Structured Cabling

Cat6 and Cat6A home runs from the IDF to every access point, tested and certified so the wireless is never limited by the wire.

Access Point Mounting

Ceiling, wall, high bay and outdoor mounts installed at the right height and angle, with clean drops and no dangling cable.

Switching and PoE

We size the switch, PoE budget and uplinks so every access point powers up and the backhaul does not choke at peak.

Warehouse and Yard Coverage

High bay racking, freezer walls and outdoor yards need directional antennas and outdoor rated gear, not more indoor access points.

Post Install Validation

We walk the finished space with survey tools, fix dead spots, and hand over a coverage map and a labeled port list.

Low voltage. Done right.

Why Indianapolis Businesses Use LED Indy for WiFi

Low voltage is one of our 3 divisions, not a sideline. We scope wifi installation against how the space is actually used, then label, test and document every run so the next person to open the rack is not guessing.

A Single Contractor

The same company runs the power, the pathway and the cabling, so nobody blames another trade for a dead access point.

Survey Before Hardware

We do not quote a stack of access points off a floor plan. The layout comes from walking the actual building.

Industrial Experience

Completed work includes Langham Logistics and Awning Partners Manufacturing Group, so high bay and plant environments are familiar.

Documented Handover

You get a labeled port list, a coverage map and as built cable records, so your IT team can support it later.

Indianapolis Owned and Operated

We are based here, not dispatched in from out of state. The same licensed crew that walks your building with you is the crew that does the wifi installation work.

We Work Around Your Building

Nights, weekends, shutdowns and school breaks. We agree the access and outage windows with you before the wifi installation work starts, so your tenants and your production schedule are not the ones absorbing it.

Commercial WiFi Installation Questions in Indianapolis

Straightforward answers about structured cabling and low voltage for your buildings and your team.

Is commercial WiFi more expensive than consumer equipment?

Per access point, yes, and the reason is what the hardware has to do. Commercial gear handles many more concurrent devices, hands them off between access points without dropping a session, and separates staff, guest and device traffic. It also gets centrally managed and updated. The bigger cost driver on most jobs is not the hardware at all, it is the cabling and the mounting labor.

What is commercial WiFi and how is it different?

Commercial WiFi is a designed system rather than a single device. Multiple access points are cabled back to a managed switch, powered over Ethernet, and tuned so they share channels instead of fighting each other. A single controller sets the policy for every unit, so coverage stays consistent as you add devices. A consumer router broadcasts a signal and stops there.

How do you set up a business WiFi network?

Start with a survey, not a shopping list. We walk the building, note the construction, racking and interference, and mark where access points have to land. Then we pull cable back to the IDF, install and terminate, configure the switch and PoE budget, and set up the network segments. The last step is a walk through with survey tools to confirm coverage and fix dead spots.

Is fiber optic better than WiFi?

They do different jobs, so it is not really a contest. Fiber is the backbone that carries traffic between buildings, floors and IDFs at high speed over long distances. WiFi is the last hop to the device in someone's hand. A strong wireless network usually sits on top of fiber uplinks, and we install both, so the backhaul never becomes the bottleneck.

Do we buy the access points, or do you supply the hardware?

Either way works. If your IT team or managed services provider standardizes on a brand, we install and cable to that spec and hand the configuration back to them. If you would rather we handle it, we spec the hardware off the site survey, supply it, install it and set it up. The design and the cabling are the same either way.

Real results. Real relationships.
