LED Indy electricians running conduit and wire on a commercial new construction jobsite
About LED Indy

One Company. Three Divisions. One Relentless Standard.

LED Indy is an Indianapolis-owned commercial contractor delivering Lighting, Electrical, and Data & Low Voltage for new construction and retrofits, with the team to handle every level of the job.

One company, three divisions

Everything Your Building Runs On

Today's buildings run on three things: power, light and connectivity. Most owners and general contractors juggle separate trades to get them. With LED Indy, it's one team, one schedule and one point of contact.

EV charging, built in

EV charging runs across all three, from make-ready infrastructure to installed, networked chargers.

Growing with our clients

From Retrofits to Ground-Up Construction

LED Indy was founded in Indianapolis in 2016 and started with lighting. Our clients kept asking us to take on more of their buildings, so we built out full Electrical and Data & Low Voltage divisions to meet that demand. Both continue to grow every year.

Today we're a trusted subcontractor to several general contractors on new construction projects, including federal projects for the United States Postal Service. Work like that demands tight schedules, strict specs and complete documentation. We deliver on all three.

Today one team can carry the power, the low voltage and the lighting on a large remodel or a ground-up build, together or as separate scopes. Whatever the job, we bring the same crews, the same planning and the same standard.

Connected buildings

Every Building Is a Connected Building

New construction and remodels have one thing in common: everything is connected. Lighting talks to sensors. Doors talk to access systems. Cameras, WiFi and building controls all ride on the same network. And all of it depends on reliable power.

That's why we design and install these systems together, not in separate silos. When one contractor handles the power, lighting, cabling and security, everything is planned to work as one from day one.

  1. Power

Clean, code-compliant electrical infrastructure sized for what’s next.

  2. Light

Efficient LED systems with smart controls and occupancy sensors.

  3. Connectivity

Structured cabling, fiber and enterprise WiFi that keep people and systems online.

  4. Security

Access control and camera systems that protect people, property and data.

EV charging and what's next

Ready for What's Next

Building technology keeps moving, and EV charging is one of the fastest-growing parts of that shift. Tenants, employees and fleets expect it. We plan and install commercial EV charging for workplaces, multifamily properties and fleets, from make-ready electrical infrastructure to Level 2 and DC fast chargers. We also help clients find available Indiana rebates and incentives.

Because we handle the electrical service, the data connection and the charger install, your EV project is done right the first time and ready to scale.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers, grouped by division.

Still have a question? Call 317-759-4533.

Electrical

What types of electrical work can you help with?

We handle commercial, industrial and institutional electrical work of every size. That includes new construction, tenant and office build-outs, retail and restaurant build-outs, service and panel upgrades, 3-phase power for manufacturing, generator installation, inspections and code corrections, and ongoing maintenance.

Do you do electrical service calls?

Yes. Our service team handles troubleshooting, repairs, breaker and panel issues, added circuits and other day-to-day electrical needs for commercial properties. Call 317-759-4533 to schedule.

Do you work on new construction?

Yes. We partner with general contractors on ground-up commercial projects, including federal work for the United States Postal Service. We can handle electrical, lighting and low voltage on the same project, which simplifies scheduling and coordination.

Are your electricians licensed?

Yes. Our work is performed by licensed electricians under master electrician oversight, and every project is built to code.

Data, low voltage and access control

What does your Data & Low Voltage division do?

We design and install the systems that keep a building connected: structured cabling (Cat6 and fiber), commercial and warehouse WiFi, access control, security cameras and server room build-outs.

Why use one contractor for electrical and low voltage?

These systems depend on each other. Access control needs power, cameras need network connections, and WiFi needs clean cabling paths. When one team plans them together, you avoid conflicts, change orders and finger-pointing between trades.

Can you install access control on our existing doors?

In most cases, yes. We install card, fob and mobile credential systems on existing and new doors, integrated with your locks and electrical. You control who gets in, where and when. More on access control.

Can access control and security cameras work together?

Yes. We can install systems that connect door access and video, so you can see who entered a door and when.

Do you install security cameras for schools?

Yes. We install security camera systems for schools and preschools across Indiana, along with access control for entrances.

Can you fix slow or spotty WiFi in our office or warehouse?

Yes. We assess coverage, then install the right access points and cabling for your space, including large warehouses with tall racking.

Can you clean up or relocate our network cabling?

Yes. We handle office network moves, cabling cleanup and server room organization, and we label and document everything.

Lighting and energy savings

How can you help me save on lighting costs?

We review your current utility rates and fixtures, then show you the savings and payback of an LED upgrade before you commit. Many clients save up to 75% on lighting costs.

Do you handle utility rebates?

Yes. We manage the rebate paperwork for you, including AES Indiana programs, so you don’t leave savings on the table.

EV charging

Can you install EV chargers at our business or property?

Yes. We install commercial EV charging for workplaces, apartment communities and fleets, including Level 2 and DC fast charging.

Does our building have enough power for EV chargers?

We’ll assess your electrical service and tell you. If you need more capacity, our Electrical division can handle the upgrade and make-ready work as part of the same project.

Are there incentives for EV charging in Indiana?

Often, yes. We help you identify available rebates and incentives for your project.

After the job

What happens after installation?

We follow up and follow through. Our warranty covers both labor and materials, and our team is one call or email away long after the project closes.
