Commercial Structured Cabling Services in Indianapolis

Network cabling is only as good as the design, the terminations and the labeling, so we treat all 3 as part of the job.

Site Survey and Design

We walk the building, map closet locations, count drops per work area and set pathways before anyone pulls a single cable.

Cat6 Cable Installation

Cat6 drops pulled to workstations, access points, printers, cameras and displays, run in proper pathway and kept clear of ballasts and power.

Cat6A for 10 Gig

Shielded and unshielded Cat6A where the drop needs 10 gigabit headroom, wireless access points, uplinks, camera aggregation and equipment that will not be replaced soon.

Fiber and Backbone

Single-mode and multimode fiber between IDF closets, across a campus or between buildings, fusion spliced, terminated and tested end to end.

Racks and Terminations

Wall and floor racks, patch panels, cable management, grounding and power in the closet, built so the next technician can read it at a glance.

Testing and Documentation

Every run tested to its category standard, every jack and port labeled, and a documented map handed to your IT team at closeout.

Low voltage. Done right.

Why Indianapolis IT Teams Hand Us the Cabling

Low voltage is one of our 3 divisions, not a sideline. We scope cat6 cabling installation against how the space is actually used, then label, test and document every run so the next person to open the rack is not guessing.

Power and Data Together

We are an electrical contractor with a low voltage division, so conduit, pathway and cabling get planned as one scope.

Documented, Not Guessed

You get labeled jacks, labeled panels and a written test report, so the next change takes minutes instead of an afternoon.

Built for Commercial

Ceiling grid, hard lid, tilt up walls, mezzanines and plant floors. Commercial buildings are the only place we work.

Local and Licensed

Indianapolis owned and operated, licensed and insured, and available when a drop fails in the middle of your work day.

We Work Around Your Building

Nights, weekends, shutdowns and school breaks. We agree the access and outage windows with you before the cat6 cabling installation work starts, so your tenants and your production schedule are not the ones absorbing it.

Proven on Commercial Projects

Our completed work includes the Colts Practice Facility, Langham Logistics, NIFS and the Vigo County jail. The same crews handle cat6 cabling installation for buildings across Indianapolis.

Structured Cabling Questions from Indianapolis Buyers

Straightforward answers about structured cabling and low voltage for your buildings and your team.

What does Cat6 cabling installation cost in Indianapolis?

Price is per drop, and the drop count is only half of it. What moves the number is cable length, whether the pathway already exists, ceiling type, how high the run sits, whether you need Cat6 or Cat6A, and how much of the work has to happen after hours. Give us a floor plan and a drop count and we will put a written price against it.

Should we install Cat6 or Cat6A?

Cat6 supports typical gigabit workstation drops within standard channel limits, which covers most desks. Cat6A is often the right call when the run length, the device, the PoE load or a future bandwidth target asks for more headroom, which is common for wireless access points, uplinks between closets and camera aggregation. For 10GBASE-T at full channel length, Cat6A is the safer specification, and existing Cat6 should be assessed by length, installation quality and the alien crosstalk environment before anyone counts on it. Most buildings we cable end up mixed: Cat6 to the desks, Cat6A to the equipment that will outlive the refresh cycle.

Do you test and certify every cable run?

Yes. Every run gets tested to the standard for its category and you get the results in writing at closeout, along with a labeled port map. Testing is where bad terminations, kinked cable and length problems show up, and finding them before your equipment goes live is far cheaper than chasing an intermittent drop 6 months later.

Can you cable our building while we are still working in it?

Yes, and most of our structured cabling in Indianapolis happens in occupied buildings. We stage the work area by area, run after hours or on weekends where the ceiling has to come open over desks, and keep the existing network live until the new drops are tested and cut over. You will get the sequence and the cutover plan before we start.

Do you remove the old abandoned cable?

Yes, and it belongs in the scope. The NEC's definition of abandoned communications cable is cable that is not terminated at equipment and not identified for future use, and the accessible portions are generally required to be removed. Your AHJ makes the final call on what has to come out. A ceiling packed with dead cable also hides what is live and makes every future pull harder. We identify what is still in use, get your sign off on what we are cutting, and haul the rest out.

Real results. Real relationships.
