How much does gym lighting installation cost in Indiana?
The drivers are fixture count, ceiling height and access. A gym with a 30 foot ceiling needs lifts and often a rigging plan, which adds labor on top of the fixtures. Field lighting adds poles, foundations, trenching and feeders, so it sits in a different range entirely. We walk the space, run a photometric layout and quote the real scope in writing.
How many foot candles does a school gym need?
It depends on the level of play and whether the space is televised or recorded. Recreational and PE use sits at the low end, competitive high school play needs more, and video streaming pushes it higher again along with tighter uniformity. We design to the target for your actual use rather than a generic number, because overlighting a gym wastes both fixtures and energy.
Can you reuse our existing sports field poles?
Often yes, and that saves the most expensive part of the job. We check pole condition, height, spacing and the existing foundations against the photometric design for LED fixtures. If the layout works, we reuse the poles and replace the fixtures, cross arms and drivers. If the poles are undersized or the spacing was wrong to begin with, we tell you before you spend on fixtures.
When can the work happen without disrupting the season?
We build the schedule around your calendar first. Gym retrofits usually run over summer break, fall break or winter break, and we can do them in halves so one side of the gym stays usable. Field lighting goes in during the off season so the surface and the schedule are both clear. Tell us your first home date and we work backward from it.
Can you work through our district's quote and purchasing process?
Yes. We are used to itemized quotes a board or business office can review, with fixture cut sheets, the photometric layout and the labor scope broken out separately. If your district needs multiple quotes, a bid package, or specific licensing and insurance documentation, tell us the format and we match it. We can also phase the work across budget years, gyms first and then fields.
